About this postcard
A view along the Hyannisport shore toward the village and its long wooden pier. Sailboats and small craft lie at anchor in the harbor, with bathhouses and wharf pilings in the shallows and shingled summer cottages along the waterfront. Hyannisport, a village in the town of Barnstable on Cape Cod, was already a summer resort in the early 1900s, known for its harbor and shoreline cottages. The printed caption reads "Hyannispoort and Pier, Hyannisport, Mass."; the first word appears to be a misspelling of Hyannisport.
