A wooded point of land on Grand Isle juts into Lake Champlain, with a sandy shoreline, a couple of small boats pulled up or moored at the water's edge, and a pastel sunset sky reflected in the calm water. Hyde's Point is on the southern end of Grand Isle, the largest island in Lake Champlain, a long-settled farming and summer-resort area of Vermont's Champlain Islands. The linen-textured card with its tinted sunset sky is typical of the 1930s-1940s "linen" era of American postcards.
Linen texture visible across the image; card number "13" printed at upper right; no white border visible in this scan.
No postmark; unused divided-back linen postcard. Printed blue imprint on cream stock, Tichnor quality view no. 78810, light edge wear only.
