About this postcard

A long, low exhibition hall with a tall Art Deco clock tower rises against a pink-and-blue sky, visitors strolling along the walk in front. The Illinois Host Building was the state's hospitality pavilion at Chicago's Century of Progress International Exposition, the lakefront fair held in 1933 and 1934. It gave fairgoers a rest stop and a showcase for Illinois attractions during the 1934 season.
