About this postcard

A view across Indian Bay on Lake George toward Elephant Mountain, with other forested hills rising in the distance. Autumn foliage frames the foreground, and the calm water reflects the sky and shoreline. By the 1930s Lake George was a long-established summer destination in the Adirondacks, and its wooded bays and mountain views drew visitors throughout the season.
