A three-quarter view of the Indiana State Capitol in Indianapolis, with its central gilded dome and flagpole flying the American flag above two lower green-domed wings. The Neoclassical limestone facade has columns and pediments across the front, and the grounds in the foreground are lawn with young trees along a curbed street. Designed by Edwin May and completed in 1888, the building replaced an earlier statehouse and remains the seat of Indiana's government.
