About this postcard

Black-and-white halftone view of a Christian Science chapel interior on its opening day, looking toward the platform where a reading desk stands flanked by potted palms and floral arrangements, with a large pipe organ rising behind it. The organ facade carries the scriptural motto "Who is so great a God as our God" (Psalm 77:13), a text often inscribed in Christian Science churches. The card commemorates the dedication service of November 26, 1905, a period of rapid growth for the Christian Science movement following the 1895 establishment of the Mother Church in Boston.
