Black-and-white reproduction of Emanuel de Witte's painting Interior of the Nieuwe Kerk at Delft. The view is framed by two massive columns and looks toward a pulpit and side chapels. Small figures in seventeenth-century dress and a few dogs stand on the stone floor, giving scale to the tall interior. De Witte (1617-1692) painted church interiors in the Dutch Golden Age, and the Nieuwe Kerk in Delft is the burial church of William the Silent.
Wide white border; arched-top image; light staining in lower-left margin; black-and-white art reproduction.
No postmark; unused divided-back "Post Card" with Detroit Institute of Arts imprint. Matte cream card stock, tape residue at two corners, no handwriting.
