About this postcard
The former Rockefeller Cottage, a gray-shingled house with a wide two-story veranda, dormer windows, and three brick chimneys, stands among mature trees in Jekyll Island State Park. A person sits on the red "Red Bug," a battery-driven scooter reserved for members of the former Jekyll Island Club, on the broad lawn in front, while a car is parked beneath the vine-covered porch. The cottage served as the Jekyll Island Museum, and the scooter recalls the club era, when prominent winter visitors used small electric vehicles to get around the island.
