About this postcard

The La Crosse County court house stands behind a lawn and bare trees, a three-story masonry building with rows of arched and rectangular windows. A mansard-roofed central tower rises to a domed cupola with clock faces, and an American flag flies from a pole at the right. The courthouse was the seat of La Crosse County government in a Mississippi River city known in the early 1900s for lumber and brewing.
