About this postcard

A view across a still lagoon in Vander Veer Park, with a small fountain or bubbler rising from the water and dense shade trees ringing the bank; a few park benches and a lamp post are visible along the shore. Vander Veer Park, laid out in the 1880s on land donated by the Vander Veer family, is Davenport's oldest public park and has long been known for its conservatory and floral displays. The card's caption spells the name "Vanderveer."
