A red-rock cliff rises above dark conifers and still water at Lake Blanche, with the peak and trees mirrored in the lake and branches framing the top of the view. The card places the lake in Cottonwood Canyon, a glacial tarn in the Wasatch Range southeast of Salt Lake City, and its printed text promises "some of the most rugged mountain scenery in the West." It notes summer auto-stage access for a two- or three-day outing from the city.
White border; visible linen/canvas texture in the paper; caption printed vertically along the right edge (scan rotated 90 degrees); light foxing spots near the upper left corner.
No postmark or message — unused card. Divided-back linen-era postcard with cream stock; light foxing/toning and a few stains. Printed Utah Centennial (1847–1947) promotional seal with flag emblem and publisher imprints (Carpenter Paper Co., Salt Lake City, Utah; Barklow Bros. Publishing, Omaha, Neb.).
