About this postcard

A large-letter greeting card reading "Hello from CASPER WYOMING," with each block letter filled with a different view of the Casper area: a downtown street, a stone gateway or monument, a large white civic building flying the flag, a golf course or country club, red rock formations, and a dam and reservoir. A wide panorama of the town and surrounding hills runs beneath the letters, while the blue background is drawn with oil derricks, tanks and small houses. Casper, in central Wyoming, grew as a rail and oil-refining center in the early twentieth century, and the derricks on this card allude to that industry.
