About this postcard

Leatherstocking Falls drops over stepped rock ledges in a wooded glen near Cooperstown, with a rustic wooden footbridge crossing the stream above the cascade. Dense trees and green foliage frame the rocky gorge. The falls sit in the lake country around Otsego Lake, the landscape James Fenimore Cooper drew on for his Leatherstocking Tales, and the name keeps that literary association alive.
