A two-story red brick colonial house with white trim, a dormer window, and a chimney stands among large trees in Fairmount Park. A white picket fence and a historical marker sit in the foreground. The house was long associated with William Penn, but later research dated it to shortly after 1703. It originally stood on land owned by Penn's daughter Letitia and was moved to the park in 1882. The Philadelphia Museum restored it in 1932 as a surviving example of an early Philadelphia dwelling.
