A two-story log cabin with a screened porch and a stone foundation sits on a grassy slope among tall bare trees. The printed caption names it Limberlost Cabin at Sylvan Lake, near Rome City, Indiana.
The house was built in the 1890s for Gene Stratton-Porter, a naturalist, photographer, and novelist, and her husband Charles. She took the name from the Limberlost Swamp to the south, the wild ground that supplied much of her writing and her photographs of birds and moths. The cabin is now a state historic site.

No postmark. Unused divided-back card; only dealer pencil annotations at top left ("RmLJ" and "$8-"). Real-photo style print, no white border, no stamp box marks.
