The Lincoln County Court House in North Platte, Nebraska, is a neoclassical civic building with a central portico of tall columns, brick wings, and an American flag above the roof. North Platte was a Union Pacific railroad town and the seat of Lincoln County, so the courthouse anchored local government in a busy rail center.
On the back, Goldie Wilson of North Platte writes to Minnie Raynor in Akron, Iowa, thanking her for a card, promising a snapshot if she can find one, and remarking that it is "sure hot here now."
