About this postcard
View across Lincoln Park in Long Beach, California: a lawn shaded by palms and broadleaf trees, a curving drive lined with parked 1930s–40s automobiles, and the downtown business district rising behind the greenery, with a tall white tower block at right. Lincoln Park was laid out in the early twentieth century as one of downtown Long Beach's principal public squares, close to the civic center and the Pacific Electric interurban lines. The card's linen texture and automobile styles place it in the late 1930s to 1940s.
