About this postcard

A view across Lindenlure Lake, framed by trees turning red and gold, with a small dam or spillway visible at the far end of the water. The printed caption places the scene "in the beautiful Ozarks, land of a million smiles," the tourism slogan used for the Missouri Ozarks region. Lindenlure was a resort area on the Meramec River system in Christian County, Missouri, popular with floaters and vacationers in the mid-twentieth century.
