The interior of the Little Brown Church in the Vale near Nashua, Iowa, looking toward the pulpit past rows of wooden pews. Arched windows line the walls, framed portraits hang between them, and an American flag and a Christian flag stand on either side of the pulpit. A ceiling fan hangs overhead. The church became widely known through the hymn "The Church in the Wildwood," and its plain wooden sanctuary drew visitors and postcard views in the early 20th century.
