A small frame Methodist Episcopal church with a corner bell tower and pyramidal spire, set on a raised stone foundation with a long flight of steps leading up to the entrance. Gothic-arched windows line the side and tower, and a wooded hillside rises behind the building. Long Bottom is a small community in the Ohio River valley, and such modest frame churches with corner towers were typical of rural Methodist congregations of the early 1900s.
Thin white margin around the image; halftone dot texture; stock toned with light edge staining and minor corner wear.
No postmark, address, or message — back is entirely unused. Divided-back "Post Card" stock with "FOR CORRESPONDENCE" / "FOR ADDRESS ONLY" and a "PLACE THE STAMP HERE" box; circa 1910s. Moderate toning and light soiling, small stain spots.
