About this postcard

A black-and-white view looks down Main Street in Champaign, Illinois. Multi-story brick commercial blocks line both sides, with cloth awnings over the storefronts and a few figures and rigs in the unpaved roadway. Champaign grew as the twin city of Urbana and as the home of the University of Illinois, and Main Street served as the downtown commercial spine in this period.
