A view east along Main Street in Waltham, where multi-story brick commercial blocks with arched windows and striped awnings line the left side. Horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians share the unpaved roadway with street railway tracks, and trees and utility poles edge the right side. The scene reflects the busy center of an early 20th-century manufacturing city; Waltham was then known for watchmaking and other industries, and its Main Street carried both local trade and trolley traffic.
White border around the image; monochrome collotype-style print with light edge wear and slight surface soiling.
No postmark; unused card. Undivided back ('This side for the Address.'), red-printed Rotograph imprint, copyright 1905. Pencil dealer mark 'BP 10' at top left. Light soiling/toning; no stamp, no address, no message.
