About this postcard
A view north along Main Street from Seventh Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, with brick commercial blocks lining both sides, utility poles and wires overhead, and a horse-drawn wagon standing at the left curb. Signs for the Hollenberg Music Co., a Southern Mutual Life Insurance Co. store, and a Coca-Cola advertisement identify the businesses; the Hollenberg Music Company was a long-established Little Rock piano and music house. The scene captures the unpaved, low-rise downtown of the early 20th century before the city's taller office buildings went up.
