A halftone view looking down Main Street in North Adams, Massachusetts, with trolley tracks running up the center of the roadway, storefronts and awnings lining the right side, and frame and brick buildings receding toward the hills beyond. North Adams, in the Berkshire Hills of northwestern Massachusetts, was a busy mill and manufacturing town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and its Main Street was the commercial spine of the community. The card's own caption names the scene simply as "Main Street, No. Adams, Mass."
