A large corner building with a mansard roof and ornate facade fills the view, identified as the Maison de la Femme Belge at 87 Avenue de la Toison d'or in Brussels. The printed caption calls it a family house and club center for women and girls conducted by the National Catholic War Council of the United States. The council was a U.S. Catholic relief organization active in Europe during and after World War I, and the Brussels house served Belgian women and girls in the postwar years.
