About this postcard

A tinted view down Market Street from Eighth Street, with trolley tracks running up the center of the wide dirt roadway and horse-drawn wagons, buggies and delivery carts lining both curbs. Multi-story brick and stone commercial blocks flank the street; the tall building at right carries a vertical sign for D. B. Loveman, the Chattanooga dry-goods and department store firm, and a furniture sign is visible further down the block. Utility poles and overhead wires cross the sky above the shop awnings.
