About this postcard

The view looks across the water toward the Masonic Hall and a cluster of village buildings on the far shore, with the floating bridge crossing the pond in the foreground and wooded hills and open fields beyond. Brookfield's floating bridge on Sunset Lake is a local landmark, rebuilt many times since the early 19th century, and the hall served the town's Masonic lodge.
