About this postcard

Interior view of Memorial Hall, the circular room beneath the dome of the Massachusetts State House in Boston, showing its arched arcade, marble columns, balustraded gallery and mural panels, with a case of Civil War battle flags displayed in the central arch. The hall was built to honor Massachusetts soldiers and sailors who died in the Civil War, and the regimental flags kept here were among its most treasured relics.
