About this postcard

The picture shows the stone church and bell tower of Mission San Juan de Capistrano in San Antonio, Texas, with a triple-arched arcade in front and large shade trees at left; the card's own caption calls it the "Third Mission, Built 1731." Mission San Juan Capistrano was established in 1731 as one of the Spanish colonial missions along the San Antonio River and was relocated to its present site in the 1750s, where the surviving stone church was erected. It is today part of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and the four San Antonio missions were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.
