A gray mockingbird with raised wing perches on a branch among oranges and white orange-blossom flowers against a pale blue ground, illustrating Florida's state bird and state flower. The northern mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos) was designated Florida's state bird in 1927, and the orange blossom has been the state flower since 1909, a nod to the citrus industry that shaped the state's economy. Curt Teich of Chicago produced this as a linen-textured "C.T. Art-Colortone" style card.
