Three macaques perch on a large tree limb among palm fronds and foliage, the leftmost female with a small baby monkey clinging to her chest; the card's own caption names the spot as "The Monkey Jungle, near Miami." Monkey Jungle, founded in 1933 by Joseph DuMond south of Miami, was billed as a "reverse zoo" where monkeys roam free and visitors walk through caged tunnels. The scene is a typical mid-century Florida roadside-attraction view.
Linen-textured stock with a thin white border; slight edge wear.
No postmark; unused card. Divided-back Curteich "C.T. Art-Colortone" stock (9A-H1548) with linen-textured front, heavy pencil scribbles on the message side, light soiling and a small stain at left.
