I reached here safely on Saturday P. M. This monument marks the spot where Gen. Ross The British Gen., fell during the war 1812, While the battle was going on, on land "Key" was a captive on a British war vessel, writing the "Star Spangled Banner" Hope all goes well in Durbin Yours J. M. P.
