About this postcard

Moody Street in Waltham, Massachusetts, looking north through a commercial block of multi-story brick buildings and awnings. A streetcar runs down the center of the street while an early automobile and pedestrians share the roadway. Storefronts include an F.W. Woolworth, a familiar five-and-dime presence in downtowns of the period. Waltham was a watchmaking and manufacturing city, and Moody Street served as its busy retail spine.
