About this postcard

A moonlit night scene in Walbridge Park, Toledo, Ohio, showing a broad river or lagoon reflecting the full moon, with a boathouse and a smaller shore building lit from within, their lights streaking across the water. A large house or pavilion glows on the wooded bluff above, and a long stairway descends the hillside toward the water. Walbridge Park, laid out along the Maumee River in the late nineteenth century, was one of Toledo's principal pleasure grounds, known for its riverfront drives, picnic groves and boathouses.

Franklin: Received your card and was enjoyed as I thought you had forgotten me that was some kind [illegible] and only wish I was along with you. I wish I was enjoying myself on Broadway by this time. The picture is a reminder of the pleasant time we spent with you. It will mean a great deal to me...
