About this postcard
An elevated view over Temple Square in Salt Lake City, with the six-spired Salt Lake Temple at right and the broad domed Tabernacle at center. Automobiles line the streets around the tree-shaded grounds, and surrounding buildings frame the block. The area was known as the "Mormon" Temple Block, the Latter-day Saint headquarters where the temple and tabernacle stand as the city's best-known landmarks. The Salt Lake Temple was dedicated in 1893 after four decades of construction, and the Tabernacle, completed in 1867, was known for its acoustics.
