A monochrome view of the Morrison Hotel, with its broad multi-story base and tall setback tower rising above a busy Chicago street. Pedestrians and automobiles fill the street below, placing the hotel in the daily traffic of downtown Chicago.
The Morrison Hotel opened in 1925 as one of downtown Chicago's large hotels and was demolished in 1965. Its scale and setback massing reflect the wave of tall hotel construction in the city's commercial core during the 1920s.
Monochrome line/etching-style illustration; caption along the bottom edge; narrow margin at right.
No postmark; unused card. Divided back with printed hotel advertising copy on the left and a "FOR ADDRESS ONLY" address panel on the right. Cream, fibrous/textured stock; front picture has no white border. No handwriting anywhere.
