About this postcard

The picture shows the Morrison-Reeves Library in Richmond, Indiana: a rough-faced stone building in a Romanesque manner, with three round-arched entrance bays at ground level, a row of windows above, and a prominent round corner tower capped by a conical roof. Bare winter trees stand in front of the facade, with a lamp post and iron fence at the sidewalk. The card's own caption names it the Morrison-Reeves Library, and the handwritten note on the front calls it "our Public Library," the institution founded with the Morrison and Reeves family bequests that still serves Richmond today.
