Moscow Kremlin with Spasskaya Tower, "Glory to October!", Moscow, 1975

About this postcard

A Soviet-era graphic illustration of the Moscow Kremlin: the Spasskaya Tower with its clock face at left, the domed Senate building flying a red flag at center, and a second star-crowned tower at right, all set against a radiating red and gold sky. The hammer-and-sickle emblem with laurel and star fills the lower left corner, and the Russian slogan "СЛАВА ОКТЯБРЮ!" ("Glory to October!") runs along the bottom. The five-pointed ruby stars atop the Kremlin towers were installed in 1935, and imagery of this kind was produced for anniversaries of the 1917 October Revolution.
