Color view of the Mount of the Holy Cross, its northeast face marked by the celebrated cross-shaped snow couloir, with a rocky, tumbling mountain stream and conifers in the foreground. The card's figure of 14,176 feet reflects an early survey; the summit is now given as about 14,005 feet.
