About this postcard

The view shows the Mt. Manitou Incline Railway's long, straight track climbing a densely wooded mountainside, with buildings clustered at the base. The funicular opened in 1907 to carry tourists up Mount Manitou, near Manitou Springs and Pikes Peak, and was promoted as the "Longest and Highest Incline Railway on the Globe." It closed in 1990, and its route is now a popular hiking trail.
