About this postcard

The view shows a red-roofed, domed museum building with an American flag on the dome, rising behind formal sunken gardens in Exposition Park. Geometric flower beds in red, white, yellow, and pink surround a circular pool. The museum opened in 1913 as the Los Angeles County Museum of History, Science and Art and is now the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Exposition Park grew from the old county fairgrounds and was home to the Memorial Coliseum, which hosted the 1932 Summer Olympics.
