About this postcard

A domed, red-roofed museum building with an American flag on the dome rises behind formal sunken gardens laid out in geometric beds of red, white, yellow and pink flowers around a circular pool. The card's caption names it the Museum and Sunken Gardens in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. The domed building is the Los Angeles County Museum (now the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County), opened in 1913 in Exposition Park, the grounds of the 1872 county fair and later home to the 1932 Olympic Games.
