An oval vignette shows the Holy Family in a stable doorway: Mary in red and blue holds the Christ child, Joseph stands behind with a hand to his beard, and a shepherd in green and brown kneels with his staff. The Star of Bethlehem sends a long beam of light down from a starry blue sky. The scene is a standard early-20th-century Christmas greeting composition, framed by a red moiré-patterned border.
Oval vignette on white ground within a red patterned border; no white border; small chip at lower right corner and light edge wear.
No postmark or stamp — card is unmailed. Divided-back 'Post Card.' stock with 'Printed in Saxony.' vertical imprint and 'No. 986' at lower left; front has an embossed red patterned border around a Christmas Nativity scene. Light age toning/soiling, no major damage.
