Natural Bridge, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, circa 1935

About this postcard

Two small figures stand on the rim above a great natural arch of pink and orange rock, with a forested canyon floor visible through the opening below. Though called a bridge, the feature is an erosional arch carved from the Claron Formation limestone that gives Bryce Canyon its pinnacles and windows. The card's linen-era coloring emphasizes the reddish rock against the dark green of the canyon bottom.
