A tinted view of Newark's New City Hall, a massive Beaux-Arts granite building with a gilded dome and a flag flying above it, seen from across a broad intersection. Horse-drawn carriages, wagons and pedestrians animate the street and the entrance steps. Designed by John H. & Wilson C. Ely and completed in 1906, the building is one of Newark's best-known civic landmarks; this card shows it newly finished, with the dome's gold leaf gleaming.
White border along the bottom edge; 'Printed in Germany' in the left margin with a small publisher's emblem at lower left; undivided-back era stock.
No postmark, address, or message — back is entirely blank stock. Undivided back with "THE ADDRESS TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE." and Raphael Tuck & Sons imprint (Tuck's Post Card Series No. 2128); light edge/corner wear, slight soiling.
