Newark's New City Hall stands at a broad intersection, its granite facade and gilded dome rising above a flag. Horse-drawn carriages, wagons, and pedestrians fill the street and the entrance steps. The building was designed by John H. & Wilson C. Ely and completed in 1906, and the view captures it in its first years as one of the city's civic landmarks.
White border along the bottom edge; 'Printed in Germany' in the left margin with a small publisher's emblem at lower left; undivided-back era stock.
No postmark, address, or message — the back carries only the printed 'POST CARD.' heading and 'THE ADDRESS TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE.' instruction, along with the Raphael Tuck & Sons' Post Card Series No. 2128 imprint; light edge/corner wear, slight soiling.
