About this postcard
Two stacked views show the Hollywood broadcasting plants of the rival networks: above, the yellow CBS Columbia Square building with its vertical "COLUMBIA" sign and the adjoining "Radio Center" restaurant; below, the green NBC studio block with large "NBC" lettering on its rounded corner and cars parked at the curb. Both complexes opened in 1938 — Columbia Square at Sunset Boulevard and Gower Street, and NBC's Radio City at Hollywood and Vine — making this a promotional view of the new West Coast radio headquarters.
