About this postcard
The view looks down from the Steel Arch Bridge, 192 feet above the water, with the American Falls at left and the broad Horseshoe Falls at right. A small boat works the churning basin below, near a red-roofed pavilion and shoreline paths at lower left; a white building stands on the far bank. The Steel Arch Bridge, also called the Honeymoon Bridge, carried traffic between Niagara Falls, New York, and Ontario until it collapsed in 1938. The small craft in the basin recall the Maid of the Mist boats that have carried sightseers to the foot of the falls since the 1840s.
