At night, the view from the Top o' the Mark looks out over San Francisco's financial and business districts toward the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and the lights of Oakland. Patrons appear as dark silhouettes at the window, with the city spread out beyond them. The Top o' the Mark is the rooftop lounge atop the Mark Hopkins Hotel on Nob Hill, opened in 1939 and known for this sweep of the city and bay.
