About this postcard

The North Corridor of the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg runs beneath a vaulted ceiling, lined with arches, columns, and ornate hanging globe lamps. The classical detailing belongs to the Beaux-Arts capitol completed in 1906, when the building was still a new symbol of state government. The card was sent from Harrisburg in 1909 with a birthday greeting to Mound City, Kansas.
